Privacy policy
Effective: 22 August 2026. This page is the privacy policy for Semblature and for this website.
This website
This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects nothing. Links to Steam are ordinary links; what Steam collects is governed by Valve's privacy policy.
The game
Semblature collects a small amount of anonymous gameplay telemetry to find broken puzzles and fix difficulty. Specifically:
- What is collected: puzzle-level events: which benches were played, completion and hint usage, timing, and app version.
- What is never collected: your Steam ID, your name, any account identifier, free-typed text, or anything that identifies you. Your IP address is discarded at the edge before anything is stored.
- How you're identified: a random ID generated on first launch. It isn't derived from anything about you or your machine.
- Your controls: the game tells you about telemetry on first run, and there is a persistent toggle in the settings to turn it off entirely. The settings screen shows your telemetry ID with copy and reset buttons.
- Retention: raw telemetry is kept no longer than 24 months, then deleted.
- Where it goes: a server operated for Perpolita, used only for the purpose above. It is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Deletion
Email [email protected] with your telemetry ID (copyable from the settings screen) and everything associated with it will be deleted.
Children
Semblature is not directed at children, and no data collected can identify anyone of any age.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be posted at this address, with the effective date updated above.
